For more than six years, Abdullah worked as a Field Administrative and Financial Officer with the Afghan Technical Consultants Organization (ATC), contributing to United Nations field projects. In this role, he coordinated project activities, guided local teams, monitored progress, and ensured that all programs aligned with international goals.

Working closely with both Afghan and international colleagues, he developed strong leadership, problem-solving, and cross-cultural communication skills — experiences that later shaped his approach to teamwork and community service.

Embassies of Afghanistan
Abdullah also served his country for over a decade through his work with the Embassy of Afghanistan in London, where he supported cultural and social programs for the Afghan community. He later continued his diplomatic career at the Embassy of Afghanistan in Canberra, Australia, as a Cultural and Consular Officer, and at one stage also served as Acting Head of Mission.

Through these roles, he managed community programs, supported Afghan citizens abroad, and represented the embassy in official meetings and cultural exchanges. His time in diplomatic service strengthened his ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and deepened his commitment to fostering understanding and unity among Afghan communities around the world.

Cultural and Community Leadership in Australia
Today, Abdullah Haris proudly serves as the Chairperson of the شورای تاجیک‌های استرالیا. In this role, he leads initiatives that celebrate Tajik culture, promote education, and strengthen solidarity among Tajiks living in Australia.
His ongoing efforts focus on supporting youth and families, organizing cultural and educational events, and building partnerships with other communities and institutions. Under his leadership, the Council continues to serve as a vibrant platform for cultural connection, learning, and mutual support.
