Kaikaous Amire is a proud member of the Tajik community in Australia and serves as Treasurer for the Tajiks Council of Australia. Guided by integrity, honesty, and quality, he supports initiatives that preserve Tajik heritage and strengthen community connections across generations.

Originally from Afghanistan with Tajik roots, Kaikaous brings a disciplined, practical mindset shaped by more than three decades of experience in heavy diesel and automotive engineering. This extensive technical background informs his steady approach to stewardship, accountability, and community service.
 
As the first democratically elected representative, Kaikaous Amire played a pivotal role in uniting and coordinating efforts to establish the Tajiks Council of Australia, fostering lasting unity and solidarity within the community. He is also one of the founding members of the Council, actively participating in its foundational meetings and early decision-making. As part of this core group, he helped guide and facilitate the Council’s activities during its initial and pre-organisational phase. Kaikaous also authored the Council’s Constitution, establishing the structural and legal framework that guides the organisation today and will continue to shape its future.
 
Before joining the Tajiks Council, Kaikaous actively contributed as a volunteer with the Afghan Welfare Association In New Zealand Inc, where he supported community programs and cultural initiatives. He also collaborated with both the New Zealand and Afghanistan governments on transport infrastructure planning initiatives, contributing his technical expertise to support development that benefits communities across Afghanistan.
 
As Treasurer, he focuses on responsible resource management and programs that build trust, unity, and cultural pride ensuring the Tajik voice remains strong, respected, and connected within wider Australian society.
