Article 5: Emblem of the Council

The official emblem of the Tajik Council of Australia shall symbolize the Council’s historical-cultural identity and its fundamental objectives.
The design and proposal of the emblem shall be the responsibility of the Cultural Committee, while its final approval shall rest with the Council of Experts.
Once approved, the emblem shall be officially introduced at the first General Assembly meeting.

Article 6: Flag of the Council

The official flag of the Tajik Council of Australia shall symbolize Tajik historical and cultural values and authentic identity.
The design and proposal of the flag shall be the responsibility of the Cultural Committee, while its final approval shall rest with the Council of Experts.
Once approved, the flag shall be officially introduced at the first General Assembly meeting.

Article 7: Objectives and Areas of Activity

The Tajik Council of Australia, within the framework of the laws of Australia—particularly those of the State of Victoria—and based on the provisions of its Charter of Principles, carries out its activities with the aim of safeguarding the cultural, linguistic, and social identity of Tajik people, as outlined below:

Cultural and Linguistic Sphere
The Council is committed to preserving, promoting, and flourishing the Persian (Dari) language and the rich culture of the Tajik people, making use of all available educational, cultural, and media resources.

These activities are designed to strengthen the cultural identity of community members, especially the younger generation, and to provide a foundation for active participation in the diversity and dynamism of Australia’s multicultural society.

The Council endeavors to:
1. Ensure that the Tajik community in Australia remains cohesive and organized around shared values, language, and culture.

2. Encourage members to recognize, appreciate, and feel responsible for their cultural heritage and achievements.

3. Utilize existing resources effectively to protect values and identity, as well as to educate and promote the Persian (Dari) language and culture.

Social Sphere
The Council is committed to strengthening solidarity, social cohesion, and active participation of Tajiks in Australia, particularly in the State of Victoria.

The Council’s social objectives are to:
1. Create and strengthen social ties among community members based on unity, participation, and mutual support.

2. Foster cooperation, mutual respect, and cultural acceptance among community members.

3. Promote a culture of social support and mutual assistance in the face of individual or collective challenges and crises.

4. Support programs, projects, and social initiatives that improve quality of life, welfare, and social flourishing of the Tajik community.

Advocacy Sphere
The Council is committed to acting, in compliance with Australian laws—particularly those of the State of Victoria—in support of the rights and legitimate interests of the Tajik community and in strengthening their position within society.

The Council’s advocacy objectives are to:
1. Defend and pursue the legitimate rights and interests of the Tajik community within the framework of Australian law, especially that of Victoria.

2. Cooperate with civil, cultural, and social institutions to enhance the status and effective participation of members in society.

3. Support members in facing discrimination or legal and social challenges.
