Women day Eid & Nowruz Celebration
21/03/2026The Tajiks Council of Australia invites you to stand with the women of Afghanistan. Join our peaceful protest as we raise our voices against violence, oppression, and the denial of fundamental human rights. Together, we call for justice, dignity, freedom, and lasting change. Silence is not an option.
Why We Stand Together
The women of Afghanistan are facing one of the most significant human rights crises of our time. Millions of women and girls have seen their opportunities, freedoms, and participation in public life severely restricted. Access to education, employment, leadership, and many aspects of daily life has been limited, creating challenges that affect families, communities, and future generations across the country.
The people of Australia have long supported the principles of freedom, equality, human dignity, and justice. These values are not limited by borders, ethnicity, language, religion, or nationality. They are universal rights that belong to every human being. When those rights are denied anywhere in the world, it becomes a concern for all who believe in human dignity and human rights.
This peaceful gathering is an opportunity for individuals, families, community organisations, human rights advocates, and concerned citizens to come together in solidarity with the women of Afghanistan. It is a collective call for respect, equality, access to education, participation in society, and the protection of fundamental human rights.
Our gathering is founded on the principles of peaceful advocacy, mutual respect, and civic engagement. We reject violence, discrimination, intolerance, and oppression in all forms. Through peaceful action, we seek to raise awareness, encourage constructive dialogue, and remind the international community that the voices and experiences of Afghanistan’s women must not be ignored.
Throughout history, meaningful change has often begun when ordinary people chose not to remain silent in the face of injustice. Every voice raised in support of human rights contributes to a larger movement for dignity, equality, and freedom. By standing together, we demonstrate that the women of Afghanistan are not forgotten and that their struggle for opportunity, safety, and equal rights continues to matter.
This event is not only about acknowledging challenges; it is also about expressing hope. Hope for a future where every girl can attend school, every woman can pursue her aspirations, every family can live with dignity, and every citizen can participate fully in society without fear or discrimination.
We invite all members of the community to join us in this peaceful demonstration of solidarity. Together, we stand for human rights, justice, equality, education, freedom, and the dignity of all women in Afghanistan.
Silence is not an option. Standing together is a responsibility we all share.
