Members of the Tajik community from different provinces of Afghanistan came together across Australia to unite under one organisation. This gathering marked an important step toward building a strong and inclusive community that preserves our shared heritage, promotes mutual support, and represents Tajiks with one collective voice.
The meeting brought together Tajiks from diverse regional backgrounds, reflecting the strength, richness, and unity of the Tajik people beyond provincial identities. Participants recognised that although community members may come from different parts of Afghanistan, they share a common cultural heritage, language, history, and responsibility to support one another in Australia.
This gathering created an opportunity for open discussion about the future of the Tajik community, the importance of organised representation, and the need for a united platform that can serve the interests of Tajiks across the country. Community members emphasised the importance of cooperation, respect, and collective action in addressing shared challenges and building stronger connections between families, elders, youth, and future generations.
By coming together under one organisation, the community took an important step toward strengthening its social, cultural, and civic presence in Australia. The initiative aims to preserve Tajik identity, promote the Persian (Dari) language, support community development, and create a clear structure through which Tajiks can engage with wider society, government institutions, and multicultural organisations.
The gathering concluded with a shared commitment to unity, inclusion, and responsible leadership. Participants reaffirmed their dedication to building an organisation that reflects the values, aspirations, and collective voice of Tajiks across Australia while honouring their roots and contributing positively to the broader Australian community.
